Privacy policy
How FutureIQ Media approaches personal information on this website and in its proposed creator-owned social media integration.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
1. Who we are
FutureIQ Media is an independent UK-based, creator-operated digital media project. For questions about data protection, contact developer@futureiqmedia.co.uk.
2. This website
This is an informational website. It does not currently contain account sign-ups, contact forms or advertising-tracking scripts. If you email us, we may process your email address and the contents of your message to respond to your enquiry.
The website is hosted by Netlify. Like most website hosts, Netlify may process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs for delivering and protecting the website, in accordance with its own policies. External services linked from this site have their own privacy practices.
3. Proposed TikTok Accounts API integration
FutureIQ Media is developing a private community-management tool for its own authorised TikTok account. The planned integration has not yet been approved or activated.
If TikTok grants the necessary API permissions, the tool may process the following information available through those permissions, as necessary to manage conversations about FutureIQ's own videos:
- Identifiers and information about FutureIQ's own published videos.
- Comments and replies on those videos, including text, timestamps and identifiers supplied by the authorised API.
- FutureIQ's own previous replies and records of responses generated or published by the tool.
This information would be used to review historical conversations, identify audience questions, assess response quality and, if separately permitted, assist with or automate appropriate replies. It would not be used to sell user data, send unsolicited direct messages, or artificially manipulate engagement. Access and processing would remain subject to TikTok's applicable terms and the permissions actually granted.
4. Legal basis, security and retention
Where applicable, personal information received through genuine enquiries would be processed to respond to your request, based on our legitimate interests in communicating with people who contact us. For the proposed comment-management integration, the intended basis is legitimate interests in managing discussions about the account owner's own content, subject to an assessment of relevant interests and rights before activation.
Our intention is to use limited-access credentials, restrict access to stored information, maintain relevant security controls and keep information only for as long as needed for legitimate project purposes and applicable platform requirements. Specific operational retention periods will be defined before an API integration is launched, and this notice will be updated accordingly.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Limited technical processing may involve service providers used for hosting, application operation or security, subject to appropriate protections and applicable law. Data processed by social media platforms remains subject to their policies.
6. Your rights and enquiries
If applicable under UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal information. Contact developer@futureiqmedia.co.uk with a privacy or data-deletion request. We may need to verify your request before taking action. If you have unresolved UK data protection concerns, you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Changes
We may update this notice as our services change or when the planned TikTok integration is approved and launched. Any significant changes will be reflected on this page.
